On Saturday, September 23, 2017, was the largest and fastest inline race in the world held in the heart of Berlin with a start and finish line traditionally infront of the Brandenburg Gate. More than 5,500 racers of different categories, both professional high-speed champions led by the world's top, and amateur hobby skaters, gathered at the start.
There were also speed skaters from the Czech National Team and competitors from other Czech skating clubs. In the Czech representation outfit our competitors TEMPISH Heartbeat Inline Michal Prokop and Ondřej Suchý also took part who finished in a huge group of competitors - when in the period of ten seconds, 87 competitors with the time 1:00:51 - 1:01:01 crossed the finish line. Even though Michal Prokop was the fastest Czech skater in this race, this famous performance palced him on 64th place. Ondřej Suchý finished as the second fastest Czech skater with a total position 73. In this group there were other Czech skaters from the national team, such as Štěpán Šváb and Richard Kudělásek, as well as the junior representative of the Czech Republic Jan Přibík. The absolute winner, who won for the 5th time in a raw, Belgian Bart Swings, who was dominating with a record time of 00:58:42, the second with a loss of 6 seconds Spanish Patxi Peula and as the third German representative Felix Rijhnen with a time of 1: 00:21.
Czech woman skaters were not as succesfull as they wanted, Andrea Lokvencová, who also started in national colors, came in 78th place with time 1:20:07 and our Hana Duspivová (TEMPISH inline team), starting in block B, finished 17th with time 1:18:50. This time was good enough for Hanka Duspivova and she took second place in the German Inline Cup - the fitness category, which was the last race of the Berlin Marathon. This marathon was also the last World Inline Cup World Cup race –where in Junior category our Jan Přibík finished 2nd
The Berlin Marathon was once again for all racers - both speed skaters and recreational athletes - again with a great atmosphere not only because of the perfect organization, great track, but also thanks to great audience support. It's absolutely unique race.
